The unique "Pure Kentucky Coal-Fired Sound" of The Kevin Prater Band has been strongly influenced by the original Seldom Scene, Charlie Waller & The Country Gentlemen, Osborne Bothers and many other legends of Bluegrass music.

Lead by Kevin Prater, highly respected sideman, multi-instrumentalist, high tenor vocalist, studio musician, sound engineer and Owner of Sound Makers Recording Studio in Belcher, Kentucky. In addition to traditional bluegrass, the band has quickly gained notoriety for their Acapella, Gospel, Classic Country and Grassed up Vintage Rock songs.
